I've been away from the store for a little while, caring for my mom through a health challenge. It's given me time to think — about what matters, about the business I've built, and about the community of professionals I'm so proud to serve. And while I've been away, the world hasn't stood still.

The Tariff Reality

By now, most of you are aware of the 50% US tariffs that have hit Canadian imports hard. I want to be completely transparent with you: these tariffs make it impossible for us to continue restocking several of the US-based brands we've carried for years — at least for now.

So here's what we're doing:

Light Elegance — A Pause, Not a Goodbye. We love this brand. You love this brand. But we will not pass a 50% price increase on to you — that's not who we are. All Light Elegance inventory is currently 20% off while supplies last. If the trade situation changes, we'll be the first to bring it back.

KUPA, IBD, Just Gel, Ardell, Gigi & Medicool — 25% off while supplies last. Same story, same values. No restocks in the foreseeable future. Once it's gone, it's gone.

This was not an easy decision. These are brands many of you have built your businesses around, and I don't take that lightly.

What's Here & What's Coming

Here's what I can tell you: the future at DK Beauty is bright, and it's beautifully Canadian.

Every product in our growing Spa & Wellness collection has been personally handpicked by me. Not by a distributor, not by a trend report — by me. I chose each brand deliberately: for its quality, its integrity, and because these are boutique Canadian makers who care deeply about what goes into their products and who they sell to. These aren't brands I stumbled across — they're brands I sought out, tested, and believed in before they ever touched a DK Beauty shelf. When you use them on your clients, you're delivering something genuinely special — and supporting independent Canadian businesses at the same time.
