Where It Started

At the height of her career as a nail technician, Deborah Jacklin transformed her home studio into something more — a teaching space where aspiring technicians came to learn, grow, and build businesses of their own. That instinct to elevate the craft became the foundation of everything DK Beauty stands for today.

The Leap

In 1999, Deborah signed the lease on her first storefront — then called Just Nailz. The sleepless nights that followed were real. But so was the response. Word spread quickly, drawn by deep product knowledge and a carefully curated selection that championed Canadian brands long before it was fashionable. What started as a leap of faith became a thriving community.

Becoming DK Beauty

The evolution from Just Nailz to DK Beauty was deliberate — a family-driven decision to modernize, expand, and meet the ever-rising standards of Canada's nail professionals. The launch of our online store brought our expertise and curated selection to technicians coast to coast.
