Delivery Insurance & Signature Confirmation Policy
Why We Require Signature Confirmation
Canadian couriers — including UPS, Canpar, and Canada Post — no longer accept liability for lost, stolen, damaged, or undelivered parcels unless a signature is obtained at the time of delivery. This is an industry-wide change that affects all shippers.
What Our Delivery Insurance Covers
- Lost or missing parcels, claims with carrier
- Stolen parcels (porch pirates), claims with carrier
- Damaged goods in transit, claims with carrier
- Non-delivery claims with the courier
Important: Delivery Insurance is only valid when Signature Confirmation is in effect. If you will not be available to sign for your parcel, you must make arrangements through the carrier notification email sent at the time of shipment — such as scheduling a redelivery or redirecting to an alternate pickup location. Claims cannot be filed on parcels where signature confirmation was waived or missed.
Delivery Insurance Pricing
Delivery Insurance is priced on a sliding scale based on your order total:

How to Add Delivery Insurance
Delivery Insurance is added at checkout. If you did not add it at the time of purchase, it cannot be added retroactively once your order has been placed.
Without Delivery Insurance
Your parcel ships at your own risk. DK Beauty cannot file claims or issue refunds on uninsured shipments — no exceptions. This policy is strictly enforced.
By completing your order without Delivery Insurance, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage that occurs in transit. DK Beauty will not replace, reship, or refund uninsured orders under any circumstances.
Not Home for Delivery?
Use the carrier notification link in your shipping confirmation email to schedule a redelivery or redirect to an alternate pickup location. Failure to receive your parcel does not void the signature confirmation requirement for insurance purposes.
Picking Up In-Store?
If Delivery Insurance was added to your order and you select in-store pickup, the fee will be refunded to your original payment method.
